How to pull averages
from the MLS
- Sign in to Paragon.
- Go to Search and run whatever search you’d like (I’m choosing Residential).
- You’ll need to fill in (3) things on the next screen, depending on what stats you want: Status, Type and Date (Either Listing, Closing, Input, Status or Contract. Most useful are probably Listing, Closing, Status). Since I am trying to find out what the average home price sold for last year, I’m going to put: Status-SOLD, Type-CITY RESIDENTIAL, and Closing Date – 1/1/2023 : 12/31/2023.
- After you hit the search button, a list will populate. At the very top will be a series of numbers that will give you lots of helpful info related to the sold, single-family homes in 2023.
PRO TIP: If you aren’t sure what the codes are in the MLS search for homes, click the magnifying glass at the end of the field. That will bring up all the options available to you within the search query.
